Fitting Room for Résumés

Tailor your résumé to the posting, on your own device.

Fitting Room reads a job posting and lists what it actually asks for, in order, tagged required or optional. It then finds the lines in your résumé that may already answer each one, and helps you write the rest in your own words. It never writes your résumé for you.

What it does

• Reads the posting. Paste it, type it, or import a PDF, Word file, photo, screenshot, or camera scan, and it lists the requirements in the order the posting gave them.
• Reads your résumé the same way. By section and line, so you can see exactly what it found.
• Suggests a fit, then lets you correct it. Reword, relabel, move, remove, or add anything it read, on either side.
• Helps you write what is missing. Fill-in phrases you shape with your own facts, not generated claims.
• Starts your cover letter. An outline built from your own phrases and résumé lines, with blanks for you to fill in.
• Exports when you are ready. PDF, RTF, or plain text, including the cover letter text.
